How To Make Crunchy Slime? With Easy Ways

You must attempt to make crunchy slime if you haven’t already. Even though I find the crunch noises to be incredibly gratifying, not everyone agrees.

We have the recipe for crispy slime, if you’d like to try making some. The foam balls are added at the very end, just like in the video, after the traditional slime with clear adhesive.

How To Make Crunchy Slime?

There are two ways to make crispy slime. You can either use borax powder to make a more moldable slime or saline solution to make a slimier variant of crunchy slime. You must start by making simple slime. You will be given instructions on how to manufacture both types of slimes using either borax powder or saline solution.

Slime made with saline solution:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of PVA glue
  • 1 Tbsp. of saline solution
  • Water: 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Colored food (optional)
  • Container for Storage
  • Bowl
  • Forks

Method:

  1. Combine the glue and water in a bowl, then stir in the food coloring (optional).
  2. Add the baking soda and combine with the saline solution.
  3. Use your hands to incorporate the mixture.

Slime made of borax powder:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of PVA glue
  • Borax Powder: 12 tablespoon
  • Water
  • Colored food (optional)
  • Container for Storage
  •  Bowl
  •  Forks

Method:

  1. Pour the glue into a bowl. Add water and blend thoroughly.
  2. Add the liquid starch as the next step. The slime binds together thanks to the starch. Always add the starch gradually because if you add too much, your slime will harden up. Depending on the glue you use, you might not require the entire amount specified or you could need a bit more. Stir continuously until the liquid has evaporated and the slime is sticky.
  3. Continue combining and kneading with your hands. It’s crucial to knead your slime if you want it to become less sticky. Add a bit extra liquid starch if your slime is too stick. Add a bit more glue if it’s too rigid or hard. See more about How To Make Crunchy Slime

Hints and Tips For Making Crunchy Slime

  • We strongly advise that all chemicals used to make slime be measured and handled by an adult, and that young children always play with slime under strict adult supervision.
  • The component that turns the slime into a solid is liquid starch. It is not liquid detergent for laundry. You might prefer this recipe with borax if liquid starch like Sta-Flo is not readily available where you live, or you could try this fantastic fluffy crunchy slime recipe.
  • The final result can vary depending on the glues and starches used in your slime. For the greatest results with this recipe, Elmer’s glue is recommended.
  • To make your slime less sticky, try adding a tiny bit more liquid starch. If your slime is too firm or hard, add a little more glue.
  • The slime that sticks slightly to your hands is more likely to have a nice stretchy, slime consistency.

Different Recipe

Instead, use the recipe listed below to create extra-thick, crunchy slime:

Use the borax powder recipe above, but omit the water that was first combined with the glue. However, you still need to combine the warm water and borax powder.

Instead, you must immediately add the foam beads to the glue and continue with the process. This recipe for crunchy slime will result in a slime that is especially rigid.

Keep in mind that the combination will produce thicker slime the more foam beads you add.
